Drink Cozy

I have been making quite a few xmas gifts for people, so I don't want to show those quite yet on the small off-chance they look at my blog. (FORESHADOWING!)

This is one of my latest creations, super fast. I did this while watching New Girl episodes on my couch one evening.

Doing an excellent job keeping my skinny peppermint mocha warm, and my fingers comfortably insulated from the heat.

I am by no means an expert at knitting. I learned in high school from my mom, we would knit squares to sew into blankets for the homeless. For that reason, I only know one stitch and how to make rectangular objects (or things formed from rectangles, like the headband I made myself).

This fits a grande quite, is 22 stitches wide and however many deep I thought was the right amount to go around the cup. This was my first attempt, I have since made another that is 16 or 18 stitches deep, to be able to fit smaller cups.

Next, I am hoping to learn some other stitches to make even fancier ones.

  1. It makes me really happy to think of you whipping out knitwear at Starbucks for your drinks.
